The word Solstice comes from the Latin word “sol sistere” which means “sun stand still”.The sun indeed seems to stand still, making this day the longest day of the year. Many in the northern hemisphere celebrate this day, for the sun brings life to plants that nourish us, while it’s energy warms and heals our bodies, hearts and souls.
During our Solstice meditation, we will acknowledge the life giving energy of the Sun and honor our connection with Gaia. We will activate our chakras and circulate energy throughout our bodies through guided imagery, breath work and waves of sound vibrational healing including didgeridoo, singing bowls, ocean drum and Native American flute. These vibrations help to remove blockages on a emotional, physical and spiritual level.
Skyclad (or nude) meditation deepens your awareness of Self, enhances your ability to stay present, within the moment and allows you to experience higher states of consciousness.
